The Chapel at Our Lady of Lourdes

Our Lady of Lourdes is very proud to announce the official opening of our new Chapel in the school of Our Lady of Lourdes.  The chapel opened on March 8th 2003, with a blessing from Most Rev. Arthur Serratelli, S.T.D, S.S.L., Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Newark.

The chapel has an original mural by Frank Gerard Godlewski.  Born in Montclair Mr. Godlewski attended Montclair Kimberly Academy and graduated from  The Cooper Union School of Architecture in New York and worked for his Doctorate of Research in Architectural Composition at the Institute of Architecture in Venice, Italy.  The last 23 years Mr. Godlewski has lived in Italy and worked in the Milan architecture studio of Aldo Rossi.  Frank is associated with Sovereign Military Order of Malta and has earned a Silver Cross of Merit for his assistance in Lourdes, France for the past ten years.  Today he makes his home in Montclair keeping up with his craft and enjoying life!
